Toyota Camry “Most American Car” according to Cars.com Study

Cars.com announced on June 27, 2011 that the Toyota Camry took the top position in the website’s annual American-Made index. This is the third consecutive year the Camry has held this spot, even with the many newcomers to the list including Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer and GMC Acadia.
Cars.com’s American-Made index ranks the most-American vehicles based on percentage of their parts that are made domestically, where they are assembled and how many are sold to U.S. buyers.
In addition to taking the number 1 rank, Toyota also has the Sienna (Number 6) and the Tundra (Number 9) on the list, matching General Motors who also has three cars on the list for the first time since 2009.
